Olivia graduated from the University of Kentucky with an B.S. in Agricultural Biotechnology and minor in Plant & Soil science. She is currently a masters student working on Stagonospora nodorum (Glume Blotch) on wheat. She is also looking at quality traits in wheat such as protein, gluten strength, softness and flour yield. The genetics resources she is using will allow her to identify genomic regions associated with these traits for use in marker assisted selection or genomic selection.
